In response to a number of requests, and in support of our new Facebook group – “Tango Talk” – I’m updating my website progressively with existing and new articles about Argentine Tango, music, learning & development and other areas of interest. Now that we are no longer running classes or workshops, we want to share our ideas and experiences and hope you will find them useful or at least interesting. I’m loving being a social dancer, but I have a nagging feeling there’s still more I could be doing.
This is going to be an ongoing project. There’s no point in waiting until I’ve got it perfect – that’s a recipe for never publishing anything. Some articles need updating, and some aren’t written yet, so there will be gaps. Currently the articles are mostly only text – we will add pictures and video in due course. In the meantime I hope you can accept it as “work in progress.”
Plagiarism
Please feel free to browse, but may I request that you show some respect for my intellectual property. This website draws from many sources but it is essentially my own work. I have never knowingly copied others’ material wholemeal, and I acknowledge where appropriate.
One of the things that put me off re-creating the website was my previous experiences of other tango teachers and organisers cutting and pasting whole pages of my writing into their promotional material, without the slightest acknowledgement, let alone asking permission.
If you would like to use the odd paragraph please acknowledge me by name. Asking first would be even nicer.
If you would like to join our Tango Talk group, you can contact me on Facebook here .
